Came back for a second time. Chips were a bit cold but it was still good. We got the same waitress as last time and she was still very nice and vibrant. It's very convenient to park your boat and walk right up. The service was very fast. We were seated right away. There is wifi here also which is very nice. They also have a cute little arcade area as well. Overall this was a very nice restaurant. Looking forward to next visit.

Below average bar food with a view. Service has always been decent, but the food is overly salty. Anything fried has only one flavor: fried, and overly so. The pizza is fine, but everything else is unimpressive. I've been there many times, lured by the lovely view on Duck Lake, but each time I leave hungry, having left 1/2 my gross salty greasy food on the plate. Go for beers or drinks, but hit up other delicious spots for dinner.

Very disappointing. While the waitress couldn't have been nicer, we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. Our Bloody Mary's were horrible and the broasted chicken was incredibly salty. Our daughter's ham and cheese sandwich was barely toasted with barely any cheese or ham (the ham being very fatty). We will not be back and we would not recommend this restaurant to anyone else.

We've visited the restaurant 4-5 times in the past few months. Overall, great service and pretty good food. Outdoor patio and tiki bar are nice touches in the summer. One caveat: don't order mushrooms on your pizza - they are from a jar not fresh - otherwise the pizza is really great! I've had the chicken wrap that was delicious. Mexican food (Thursday specials) should be avoided. We've eaten there late (after 8pm) and it definitely turns into a younger, rowdy crowd (playing beer pong on the pool table!). Overall a great place.

My family and I go to Sweetwater often as we own cabins in Eagle River for many years (50+years). The service is great and this is one of our frequent stops. This past trip (August 28th - September 9th) we stopped in to Sweetwater for either dinner/drinks and unfortunately had the same bartender each time. No personality Mike - each time I ordered anything I felt like I was disturbing him and was not welcomed (hangs out with his friends at the end of the bar), neither was anyone in our party. Regardless we went to Sweetwater a half dozen times as it was one of the only places open during the off season. Once I returned home I checked my banking and surprise Mike charged me multiple times on my credit card, actually added more of a tip in on 2 of the credit card receipts. I tried to contact the owner Chris and at this time have not gotten a return call to be reimbursed for the fraud, I do hope that she can pick up the phone to resolve. I feel that it is unfortunate as we have never had this happen and all of our other experiences at Sweetwater were so wonderful. My suggestion if you get "No Personality Mike" is that you keep your receipts and check your records or pay cash ONLY.

After trying this place twice, several months apart, I believe it's fair to rate it at the 2 stars level. We had dinner both times. Chicken wings for appetizer & salad with burgers for main course. All were typical pub fare. Service was painfully slow both times. Oh, and the drink prices made me feel like I was back home in Milwaukee, not at a restaurant in the north woods! $7 Jack Daniels? C'mon!

The server was wonderful, food was horrible! Worst veggie burger and French dip sandwich we've ever had.

I don't know why this place doesn't have a 5 star review yet. The food was really good on the 2 nights we visited for dinner. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was pretty good. I'll agree it is kind of awkward if you pay with credit card to figure out the tip first and then have the waitress run the whole amount, but it's fine. That one little thing didn't ruin it for me.

really good Boca Burgers, but seems to be understaffed for waitress & bartenders. loud atmosphere, but it is a "Sorts Bar"... typical up north menus, so was pleased & surprised to see they had a meet less offering

Went there for the two nights we were in the Northwoods. Nachos were below average, but the Friday Fish Fry was fantastic. Chicken sandwich was a touch above average. Beer selection was good enough. The servers both nights were really nice and prompt. The best part was that they had the Blackhawks game on almost all of the TVs -- with audio! They're the closest bar to the Hiawatha Lodge, so we'll be back.

Great food and mixed drinks are strong! They are not shy making a good, strong drink. They accommodated 8 of us quickly and service was prompt. Asparagus broiled is awesome. Can't go wrong here. Fun bar setting--very festive Packer theme.

Worst restaurant in Eagle River! I have been here before for drinks, and you cannot really screw that up, but this time my father and I went for lunch. We sat down at a table and waited about ten minutes to be noticed and get menus. We ordered a pitcher of beer that came about 3/4 full. Maybe the waitress poured her self a beer on the way to our table. There were cartoons on the TV, and we had to ask the waitress twice to turn the ball game on in a bar that is clearly supposed to be a sports bar. Finally gave up and asked the bartender, who got to it eventually. We ordered a burger and a small pizza. After waiting about 25 minutes, my pizza was acceptable, totally mediochore, but adequate. My fathers burger was stone cold, and the bun was literally cold from the freezer-not even room temperature, like it literally just came out of the freezer and they put it in a burger. Having working as a waitress for years, I can tell you what stupid moves they made in regards to this burger...the burger was made first and sat in the window so long the ther original bun burnt, so when the pizza was finally ready, the waitress complained about the state of the bun, so the crappy cook just shoved a new bun on it. Dad sent it back, and it reappeared, in a minute with limp lettuce and a bottom bun so soggy, that it demonstrated that all they did was microwave it in the back. What they should have done, and what any restaurant worth going to would do, is A. Not have served that burger, or have waited to make it based upon the timing of the pizza, but if some idiot cook allowed this to happen, then, B. The burger should have been replaced in its entirety, not microwaved (honestly, when it comes out in a minute, who are you kidding-we could tell it was the same burger.). Additionally, the manager should have come over and apologized and comped something. On top of all of this, they do not have a functioning credit card machine. They cannot add a tip after they run a card...you have to tell what to add for tip. Not only is this stupid, but I am sure the credit card company does not endorse this...additionally, tips must be reported to the federal government for tax purposes. I am sure they are not reporting these tips, and are therefore illegally avoiding reporting income of their staff. Just a crappy restaurant experience, and there are 5 other pizza joints in town that are a ton better.

I was craving pizza. This place didn't let me down. Not a huge selection when it comes to toppings or ones offered. Either you get taco pizza or you get cheese pizza. But the best part is you can add as many toppings as you want on that cheese pizza. Had a Jalepenó, Green Olive, pepperoni pizza. Was very good but warm from the Jalepenó's. Not sure if it was because it's late in the season for Jalepenó's, but they are good and hot. Good thing that the Crown and 7's were flowing from the bar and delicious and cooled the tongue. I'm pretty sure that the dough wasn't made in house, but it was good. I'm a huge fan of "Dive Bars" and "Where the locals go" this fits the where the locals go tab.

Good beer battered cod!! Very crispy! The sweet potato fries weren't all that great, didn't have much flavor. Lot's of tv's for sport events and nice atmosphere!

Great sports bar, awesome food, ok location, decent service. The location is on the chain...sort of. You can pull up and then walk up towards the road and enter the back door. I wish the patio had more of a lake view. It's good enough for what it is. However, the last time I went I was less than thrilled. The waitress was sweet and very helpful. We overheard her telling another customer she was waitressing to pay for college blah blah blah. When we were done, we paid and gave her a 50% tip as a little boost. We didn't receive so much as a "thank you" or a "goodbye" as we left. We were happy to up the tip but even if we didn't we should have received a "have a nice day" or something.....

Of all of the restaurants and bars I have been to in my 30+ years or being in the Northwoods, Sweet Water is the BEST! A great sports bar for catching a game or a race (They are a NASBAR). But what makes Sweet Water great is the food! They have burgers that rival my favorite burger at Tony Franks in Madison and homemade pizza that is the best you can get in the Eagle River area. The staff and service is great, although they can be slow when very busy. What is awkward is when paying with Credit Card having to tell the waitress what her tip is as opposed to adding it to the receipt after they run the card. I wish I was on the right side of the chain so I could just pull up in my boat without the hassle of going over the Dam to get drinks and some food from Sweet Water. CHECK IT OUT!

We have been coming here for years and it has previously been wonderful...our go to place for great pub food. The food quality has gone way down. Three of the people in our party ordered French Dip and they came out cold. The meat was dry and not very flavorful. We were so disappointed. To top it off the waitress was wearing sweat pants that said "I'm sexy and I know it" down the entire left leg. Not exactly something we want our 8 year old to see.

Nice waitress, service and nice setting on the deck...food is just ok. Generally kettle chips are a bit hot if they are homemade (maybe these aren't) ... I had about four chips and the rest scraps the size of postage stamps. Might be a good place for a drink and appetizer....
